Scott Adams, the creator of the once-popular Dilbert comic strip, has announced that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer — the same diagnosis recently disclosed by President Joe Biden. Speaking on his YouTube show Real Coffee with Scott Adams, he revealed the cancer has already spread to his bones, and he now uses a walker for mobility.
The 66-year-old cartoonist shared that the condition causes him intense, daily pain and that his prognosis is grim. “I have the same cancer that Joe Biden has,” Adams said, adding that he expects to pass away sometime this summer. He expressed sympathy for the President and his family, saying he understands the emotional toll such news can bring.
Adams explained that the diagnosis has given him time to get his personal matters in order. “At least I get to say my goodbyes,” he remarked during the emotional video. Despite his health challenges, he appeared calm and reflective, focusing on closure and family.
The Dilbert comic strip was once syndicated in hundreds of newspapers for its satirical take on office life. But in 2023, Adams was dropped by major media outlets after calling Black Americans a “hate group” during a livestream. Despite claiming he was exaggerating for effect, the backlash led to the end of his media career.
